It is very time efficient to do the priorities first, but a major inefficiency would be incorrectly identifying the priorities in the first place. What to do?

Quickly and accurately targeting a priority allows for more time to deal with it. The million dollar question then would be “How do you know what the real priorities are?”

In order to know the real priorities an end goal must be held in mind. With this future situation in mind think of the activity you need to do. Does it really matter to the achievement of the end goal? Or is it a extraneous time eater you can do without?

This simple technique can save much wasted effort, and help one achieve far more with far less.

At the end of the day there was always enough time to get the important things done. If the important things did not happen (e.g. writing this post today) I only have myself to blame. 24 hours is given to each (no matter how much time we ‘save’), and I must admit if I have not accomplished the desired activities only I am responsible.

For this reason the priorities must be done first. All else is secondary. You can end the day with no accomplishments and a list of excuses, or you can end it with a list of accomplishments in the absence of excuses.

I can’t explain why or how, but from experience I’ve found it to be true that listening to classical music has a very positive and powerful effect on the brain.

Need to be creative? Classical music is the one to listen to.

Need to relax from a stressful situation? Classical music is a great reliever.

Need inspiration? Listen to classical music.

It is instructive to note that you don’t hear classical music blasting out of a low ride convertible during a summer evening. You may however hear it in the background of a millionaire’s garden party. I don’t know the reason, but I know it works to affect the mind beneficially.

I’ve listened to all types of music, rock, rap, etcetera. Each has an effect on the thoughts of the mind. Of them all I’ve found classical to be the most beneficial. For example, drinking enough water and sleeping with classical music playing I have discovered can make five hours of sleep feel more refreshing than eight hours of sleep.

One penny is not a lot. Many would shun it if it lies on the street. Those who shun the free money also would like to be financially well off. Yet, by picking up the penny they would be moving one step closer to their goal.

As in health, we know what we should eat, yet may not. So in finance. Schools teach many subjects, but many are not taught with practical application. Financial health is poor, and our bank balance may appear undernourished.

We know the importance of looking after our finances when we try to exist on a lack of it. Surviving on £20 a week is an instructive life lesson.

It is pennies that make pounds, and taking the time to plan and exercise a strategy for looking after those pennies is time well spent. Increased financial fitness will be the result.

Take a deep breath and relax your shoulders. Chances are they were slightly tensed.
It’s not a conscious tightening of the shoulders or furrowing of the brow, but when realising our state it is quite noticeable.

Relax.
How?Goals. Set them.

Having an end objective ensures you are able to enjoy the Now in a much more relaxed manner, and not be feeling stressed out in apprehension of the next crisis to react to. Goals also mean you are the instigator of change in your life thus are expecting change when it occurs. This also induces a more relaxed state.

Often our tensed state is not a result of lots of things happening in our lives, but the result of a lack of a definite plan of action to orchestrate the events in an organized manner.

It may be difficult to build a tower at once. Though to build one over two years is a realistic objective.

Building increased fitness each and every day by a modest amount of exercise is a simple process.

You don’t have the time to go to the gym/workout/exercise/whatever-else? I have found that, if I replace the time spent thinking about this with action, I can actually do a modest amount of exercise . The effect of the exercise rapidly accumulates over a number of days.

Why make the investment in exercise? The return on the investment is quicker recovery time if injured, and better ability to deal with the stresses of life.

The stomach muscles are responsible for many body movements and by doing at least ten sit-ups per day I enable the tower to grow daily.

After getting up in the morning I’ve only nine more left to do.

There are a dozen items of software that constitue part of the Life hack series, each having the ability to assist in making life run considerably smoother and be more productive.

The first of these is MyLifeOrganized (MLO) task management software. OK great, but what does it do?

It enables synchronization of task management between windows devices, including windows mobile.

Recent work has joined the Research In Motion (RIM) company’s Blackberry, and Apple’s iphone devices to the platforms of use, making it easier to manage tasks on the move with a wide range of devices.
The software allows practically infinite depth for subtasks. Something many competitor applications seem to lack.
Being very flexible, it can convert between several task management software formats.

The to-do list allows the specification of contexts, and filtering to display the to-dos according to their context, such as listing to-dos according to your current location.
It also can output a pocket mod to Microsoft Word document. This has been found to be very useful for checking off the list of Life hacks posted.

All in all a very useful software programme, and highly recommended for outlining plans.

You’ve heard of moving goalposts, right?
Well, this is about goals being kicked away and what to do about it.

Often when you aim for a target your goal is likely to get kicked away from you.
For example, right now as I sit by the roadside with a split cycle tyre the goal of getting fit feels as far away as the puncture repair kit is -that I was certain I’d packed when I left home this morning.
Sometimes you feel like you shouldn’t have bothered, and you’d be better off not having tried.
That’s the deceptive thing about Success, before you reach any worthy goal it will ask you if you really want it.
The feelings of dissappointment and dejection are just that – feelings, though they are intense at the time they occur.

Any great achievement is adorned with much dissappointment and defeat along the way. History deliberates not over lost battles as much as wars won.
So if your goal is kicked off target remember it’s the aim of Persistence that will help you score.
Keep on keeping on, Success is calling you.
